Security forces killed seven terrorists during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) carried out in Dera Ismail Khan and North Waziristan districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, as reported by the military’s media wing, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), on Sunday.
The ISPR statement detailed that on the night of 8-9 February 2025, security forces launched an operation in the general area of Maddi, Dera Ismail Khan District, following reports of terrorist activity.
"During the operation, our troops effectively engaged the khwarij location, resulting in the death of three terrorists, including Kharji Rehmat, while two others sustained injuries," the ISPR statement said.
In another operation, security forces targeted a location in the general area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan District.
"In the ensuing fire exchange, four terrorists were neutralised by the security forces, and three more were injured," the statement continued.
The ISPR further mentioned that sanitisation operations were underway to clear any remaining terrorists from the areas.
"The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country," the statement added.
