Railway police thwarted an attempt to smuggle a leopard pelt that had been hidden in the power van of the Karachi-bound Sir Syed Express.
According to details, authorities uncovered the pelt and took immediate action to prevent its illegal transportation.
Officials stated that the railway porter, Safdar, had handed over the pelt to plant operator Faisal Shehzad.
Upon discovery, railway police seized the pelt and transferred it to the Punjab Wildlife Department.
Both accused individuals, Safdar and Shehzad, were also handed over to the Punjab Wildlife Department for further legal proceedings.
