Former federal minister Mushahid Hussain Syed said on Sunday that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had found himself isolated in the region after the revolution in Bangladesh.
Addressing the National Kashmir Conference in Islamabad, Syed said: "The Indian-backed government in Bangladesh had been ousted following the uprising."
Speaking on the issue of Palestine, Syed stated: “Due to the sacrifices of the brave Palestinians, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is being discussed.”
He equated the struggles of Kashmir and Palestine, emphasising that a unified effort was necessary to advocate the Kashmiri cause with greater strength.
Syed underlined, “The question now is how we take the Kashmir issue forward.” He urged all stakeholders to intensify efforts in championing the cause on global platforms.
Referring to Bangladesh, Syed declared that a revolution had already taken place, which had resulted in the removal of a pro-India administration.
He reiterated that Modi had become isolated in the region due to these unfolding developments.
