Federal Minister for Investment Board, Communications, and Privatisation Abdul Aleem Khan called on Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov in Baku on Sunday.
The meeting - attended by a delegation of Azerbaijani cabinet ministers - was centered around exploring ways further to enhance the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
During the huddle, Prime Minister Ali Asadov expressed his country’s commitment to fostering a stronger relationship with Pakistan, emphasising that Azerbaijan has always conveyed love and brotherhood for the Pakistani people.

He noted that the cooperation between the two countries has grown substantially since last year’s engagement.
Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan highlighted the immense potential for cooperation in these areas, stressing the importance of facilitating smoother trade routes and fostering economic growth across both countries and beyond.
In a notable announcement, Abdul Aleem Khan revealed that the Prime Minister of Pakistan will also be visiting Azerbaijan and several Central Asian states later this month.
The discussions also touched upon future investment projects, with a special emphasis on the construction of motorways in Pakistan.
A high-level Azerbaijani delegation will visit Pakistan this month to explore potential investment opportunities in the country’s infrastructure, particularly focusing on improving its motorway network. Both sides agreed to fast-track these initiatives to make practical progress on the various mutual agreements already in place.
"Today's meeting was not only fruitful but also memorable and promising for the future of Pakistan-Azerbaijan relations," Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said.
"We are committed to furthering our cooperation, especially in the fields of trade and infrastructure. Our aim is to create tangible results for both countries and strengthen our partnership."
Minister Abdul Aleem Khan also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Ali Asadov for the warm hospitality extended to the Pakistani delegation.
Prime Minister Asadov reiterated Azerbaijan's commitment to Pakistan, saying that the country values its ties with Islamabad deeply. “Azerbaijan stands firmly with Pakistan, and we will continue to support each other in all areas of mutual interest,” he added.
Both delegations emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and pledged to take the necessary steps to ensure further contacts and cooperation.
