The Federal Ministry of Interior launched action against absconding suspects in the £190 million case, cancelling their passports upon the request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Sources divulged that the Interior Ministry intensified proceedings against the accused individuals, revoking the passports of four suspects.
The absconders included property tycoon Malik Riaz, his son Ali Riaz, former accountability adviser Shehzad Akbar, and Farah Gogi.
According to sources, the NAB had submitted a formal request to the Interior Ministry on 28 January, seeking the cancellation of passports belonging to the accused.
The ministry executed the request, enforcing the legal measures against the fugitives.
