National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Wednesday urged the opposition to reduce political tensions in the country.
According to details, Sadiq held a meeting with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in the cafeteria of Parliament House.
Sources divulged that Sadiq had appealed to opposition members to play their role in ending the imbroglio.
"Every matter can be resolved through dialogue," said Sadiq.
The parliamentarians commended Sadiq's efforts in running the NA efficiently.
Speaking on this occasion, PTI leader Junaid Akbar said, "The speaker's role was crucial in facilitating negotiations."
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were PTI leaders Junaid Akbar, Atif Khan, and Arbab Sher Ali.
Meanwhile, Nafisa Shah and Noor Alam were also present.

Few days back, Sadiq decided to maintain the negotiation committee.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Sadiq said: "The government had kept waiting for the opposition committee, but the opposition committee did not reach."
He urged both the government and the opposition to engage in dialogue. "The negotiations cannot be held on the basis of any preconditions," Sadiq said.
