Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal said on Wednesday that the incumbent government was playing its role in the uplift of Balochistan.
According to details, Iqbal called on British lawmakers during his visit to the United Kingdom (UK). On this occasion, Iqbal recalled Pakistan's economic model in the 1960s.
"At that time, Pakistan's economywas exemplary for other nations," he said.
Iqbal apprised the lawmakers of the ongoing investment projects to improve the local population's well-being.
"The government has completed many projects in Gwadar," he said.
Iqbal added, "The expected large-scale investment in Balochistan's mining sector is a game-changer."

Few days back, Iqbal expressed his resolve to strengthen the economy of the country.
Addressing an event in Narowal, Iqbal said: "The country has witnessed peace after the end of terrorism. We showed the world how to end the menace of terrorism in four years."
"We ended the power outages in the country by rolling out projects generating 11,000 megawatts of electricity," Iqbal said.
"Whenever the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) came to power, development projects started in every nook and cranny of the country," said Iqbal.
"The people used to say that we were showing them dreams like Sheikh Chilli, as ending loadshedding in the country in a very short time was not easy," he added.
"Nobody was ready to do business in the country. At that time, our leader Nawaz Sharif promised to end power outages in the country," said Iqbal.
