The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) issued a notification on Sunday regarding the gas price hike for captive power plants.
According to the notification issued by Ogra, the gas price for captive power plants has been revised as of February 1.
The notification states that the gas price for captive power plants has been set at Rs3,500 per mmBtu, an increase of Rs500.
However, the gas prices for domestic consumers, special roti tandoors, and commercial users will remain unchanged.
The gas prices for CNG, cement, and fertiliser sectors have also been maintained.
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved the gas price hike for captive power plants yesterday.
