Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has dismissed claims that he attended any anti-China event in the United States, stating that he did not participate in any such function.
Naqvi addressed the media in Houston, where he clarified that his attendance at a youth event had been misrepresented as propaganda, and he emphasized that such baseless allegations do not affect him.
Interior Naqvi stated, "I did not attend any anti-China function. The propaganda being spread about my participation is completely false." He also responded to the claims that US lawmakers were being incited against Pakistan, urging politicians to engage in healthy politics but not at the expense of Pakistan's well-being.
Regarding terrorism, Naqvi reiterated that the fight against terrorism is a shared responsibility, not just for Pakistan but for all nations.
He highlighted the importance of collaborating with American politicians to formulate strategies against terrorism, and stressed that those who raise arms against Pakistan would be dealt with firmly.
Earlier, on Saturday, Naqvi invited American investors to explore business opportunities in Pakistan. During his visit to Washington, he met with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a high-level delegation from the U.S.-Pakistan Business Council.
Speaking with the delegation, Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan offers attractive investment opportunities and is moving towards economic stability.
He assured the U.S.-Pakistan Business Council of improved facilitation, including streamlined issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs), and promised preferential treatment for investments from American businesses.
