Four terrorists were killed and two others injured, as the security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Bagh, Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The forces targeted a reported presence of terrorists. Those killed included two key ringleaders.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ hideout. Those killed also included ringleaders Azizur Rehman, also known as Qari Ismail, and Mukhlis.
The operation also led to the recovery of weapons and ammunition from the slain terrorists, who were said to be actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of innocent civilians in the region.
The ISPR stated that a sanitization operation is currently underway to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area. The security forces reiterated their determination to eradicate the menace of terrorism from Pakistan and ensure the safety of civilians.
