The moon of Rabi-ul-Sani 1445 Hijri was sighted on Monday evening, marking the advent of a new Islamic month.
The first day of Rabi-ul-Sani 1445 Hijri will fall on Tuesday, October 17.
The sighting of the moon was reported from various regions, including Quetta and Nagarparkar, signifying the official commencement of the month of Rabi-ul-Sani.
Chairman of the Central Royat-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, while making the announcement highlighted the importance of moon sighting in determining the Islamic lunar calendar.
However, the occasion was not limited to the moon sighting alone. In a meeting of the Central Royat-e-Hilal Committee, strong condemnations were issued against the ongoing Israeli brutality in Palestine.
The committee demanded immediate intervention by Islamic countries, the United Nations, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to halt Israeli attacks on innocent Palestinian citizens in Gaza.
The committee firmly supported the stances taken by countries such as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, and Qatar, who have been vocal in their opposition to Israeli brutality.
The united front of these nations highlights the global concern over human rights violations and the need for a swift resolution to the crisis in the region.
As the Islamic world begins the new month of Rabi-ul-Sani 1445 Hijri, the call for solidarity and action against the ongoing violence in Palestine echoes among the Muslim community, emphasising the importance of unity and peace in the face of adversity.
