A major power breakdown occurred at the Dhabeji Pumping Station, causing a complete shutdown of all pumping operations.
According to a spokesperson from K-Electric, the issue was swiftly addressed, and power supply was restored promptly.
The spokesperson added that K-Electric's team is in constant communication with representatives from the Water Board to ensure the situation is fully managed.
Despite the temporary disruption, electricity supply to all major pumping stations, including Dhabeji, remains normal.
Damage to two water corporation lines
A power breakdown has caused significant damage to two water supply lines of the Water Corporation. According to a spokesperson, the 7-inch Line No. 1 and Line No. 5 (72-inch) were affected by the outage.
Repair work on the affected Line No. 5 is expected to be completed within the next 24 hours, while repairs to Line No. 1 are anticipated to take up to four days.
K-Electric restored the electricity supply to the Dhabeji Pumping Station at 10:45 AM, allowing operations to resume.
