Samsung is reportedly working on a fourth model for the Galaxy S25 lineup, the Galaxy S25 Slim, which is expected to be one of the company’s thinnest flagship phones in years.
While it won’t be unveiled alongside the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra on January 22, leaks suggest an impressive mix of design and performance when it finally arrives.
According to leaked details, the Galaxy S25 Slim measures 159 x 76 x 6.4mm, which is 1.2 mm slimmer than the Galaxy S24. Despite its sleek profile, it will pack a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, ensuring top-tier performance.
The camera setup includes a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, offering high-quality photography capabilities.
Even with its ultra-thin frame, the device is rumoured to house a 4,700mAh–5,000mAh battery, promising excellent battery life—a rarity for slim smartphones.
Galaxy AI & camera innovations
Additional leaks also reveal new Galaxy AI features for the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The Now Bar, an AI-powered tool, will provide users with personalized suggestions throughout the day, from navigation to fitness updates.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra stands out with a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP super-telephoto camera with 5x zoom. The S25 and S25+ will feature a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom.
All models will run One UI 7.0 (Android 15) and are expected to receive seven years of OS and security updates.
Expected release timeline
The Galaxy S25 Slim isn’t expected to launch until Q2 2025, possibly to avoid overshadowing the S25 series launch in January.
While pricing remains unknown, its slim design and flagship features are likely to attract a strong fanbase.
