The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) State Bank Circle and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted separate operations in Karachi, resulting in the arrest of individuals involved in illegal currency exchange and drug smuggling.
The ANF arrested a Sri Lankan national at Karachi Airport for attempting to smuggle heroin. During a search, 1.818 kilograms of heroin was found skillfully concealed in the suspect's travel bag.
The accused was preparing to board an international flight to Thailand. The ANF has registered a case and is conducting further investigations into the smuggling operation.
FIA raid near KMC housing society
The FIA State Bank Circle carried out a raid near the KMC Housing Society, apprehending Muhammad Haroon, accused of operating an illegal currency exchange. During the operation, a significant amount of local and foreign currency was recovered, including $35,000 (US Dollars), AED 10,000 (UAE Dirhams), £1,500 (British Pounds), SAR 1,030 (Saudi Riyals) , and Rs120,000.
