In a desperate attempt to cover up India’s military failures, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has shifted blame onto Pakistan, falsely accusing it of backing Kashmiri resistance fighters.
During a press conference in New Delhi, Dwivedi claimed that the situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir was “completely under control” while simultaneously justifying India’s heavy military presence in the region.
However, his statements contradict the ground reality. If Kashmir is under control, why are 1 million Indian troops and paramilitary forces stationed there? Why are search operations and extrajudicial killings of Kashmiri youth a daily occurrence? If the Indian army is well-equipped along the Line of Control (LoC), how does India continue to claim “cross-border infiltration”?
Moreover, General Dwivedi admitted that India’s standoff with China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) remains unresolved, citing a lack of trust between the two militaries. This statement highlights India’s inability to manage its border disputes despite its aggressive rhetoric.
His accusations against Pakistan and Kashmiri freedom fighters reflect India’s growing frustration as it fails to suppress the Kashmiri resistance. The global community, meanwhile, continues to witness India’s human rights violations in the region.
