WhatsApp is gearing up to roll out a new feature that brings Meta AI right to your home screen.
According to WABetaInfo, this new widget will allow users to interact directly with Meta AI without the need to open the app.
The widget will enable users to start chats with Meta AI, request image edits, ask for explanations, or get answers related to photos—all from their home screens. This will provide a seamless and instant way to interact with the AI-powered assistant, making it easier than ever to access Meta AI tools.
However, this feature will only be available to users who already have access to Meta AI-powered chats, which are currently limited to certain countries.
The widget is still under development, but WhatsApp plans to release it in future updates for Android users globally.
In addition to this, WhatsApp is also working on a feature to create events within individual chats, similar to how users can create them in group chats. This feature will allow users to add event locations or even link events to audio or video calls for virtual meetings, further enhancing the app’s functionality.
