Nine terrorists were killed by the security forces in two separate engagements in North Waziristan District on January 11, 2025, according to a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday.
The ISPR disclosed that the first operation was conducted based on intelligence reports in the general area of Dosalli, where the presence of the terrorists had been reported.
During the operation, the troops successfully targeted the militants’ location. Six Khwarij were killed during the engagement, while two others were apprehended.
A second intelligence-based operation was carried out in the general area of Esham within North Waziristan District.
Following an intense exchange of fire, three Khwarij were neutralised, while two others sustained injuries.
The ISPR stated that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased militants, who had been actively involved in numerous terrorist attacks against the security forces and the targeted killing of innocent civilians.
The statement added, “Sanitisation operations are underway to clear the area of any remaining Khwarij, as the security forces of Pakistan remain resolute in their mission to eradicate terrorism from the country.”
