A British-Nigerian fashion designer, Liz Sanya, attempted to set a Guinness World Record by crafting an enormous clog-style sandal in Lagos.
Sanya worked for 72 hours at Pixel Park in Lekki, Lagos, to complete the massive creation, which measured 10 feet, 4.2 inches wide and 26 feet, 8.8 inches long. She finished the project on January 4.
The finished sandal has been registered with Guinness World Records as the largest sandal in the world.
Previously, a team of artisans from Municipio De Sahauyo, Mexico, held the record with a traditional sandal measuring 10 feet, 1.65 inches wide and 24 feet, 5.31 inches long.
