Allu Arjun’s 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' continues to dominate the box office, grossing an estimated $1.45 billion in India despite a recent dip in daily earnings.
According to Sacnilk.com, the film earned $260,000 on Day 34, maintaining its stronghold in theatres.
Extended version postponed
Originally slated for release on January 11, the “reloaded version” of Pushpa 2, featuring 20 minutes of additional footage, has been delayed to January 17 due to technical processing delays. With a total runtime of 3 hours and 40 minutes, this extended cut will make Pushpa 2 the longest Indian film ever.
Historic Box Office feat
Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, Pushpa 2 has now surpassed Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. The film stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, reprising their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
Controversy surrounding the film
The film’s success has been overshadowed by controversy. On December 4, a tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad resulted in a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management. The actor was arrested on December 13 but later secured bail from the Telangana High Court on December 14, with regular bail granted on January 3.
Despite the challenges, Pushpa 2 remains unstoppable, continuing to draw audiences eager to witness Allu Arjun’s electrifying performance.
