Days after filing a lawsuit against a US publication, Justin Baldoni’s lawyer has released an alleged audio recording of the actor, shedding light on his strained relationship with ‘It Ends With Us’ co-star Blake Lively.
Speculation about tension between the two actors has been ongoing since Baldoni, who starred in and directed the film, was absent from its promotional events.
The controversy escalated when The New York Times published an explosive report alleging sexual harassment by Baldoni and a smear campaign against Lively.
Baldoni responded by suing the publication, accusing it of publishing ‘fabricated stories’ allegedly fueled by Blake Lively. Soon after, Lively also filed a lawsuit, accusing Baldoni of harassment and image sabotage.
Now, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, has released an alleged voice recording of the actor explaining why he wasn’t present at the film’s red carpet premiere.
In the leaked audio, Baldoni claims he was forced to stay in the basement during the event at Lively’s insistence.
“On what could have been one of the most beautiful nights of my career, I was sent to the basement with my friends and family because she didn’t want me anywhere near the cast,” Baldoni is allegedly heard saying.
As legal battles continue, Hollywood is watching closely to see how this high-profile dispute unfolds.
