Apple is reportedly working on a new app called Invites, which could soon provide users with an innovative way to send invitations for both in-person and online events.
Based on findings from the iOS 18.3 beta 2 code by 9to5Mac, it appears that this new app might rival existing services like Evite and Partiful.
Although details about the Invites app are still scarce, the report suggests it will integrate with iCloud, allowing users to manage their invitations seamlessly. It could also feature a web version hosted on iCloud.com.
Unlike the current calendar-based invitation system, the Invites app is expected to let users share a link that showcases event details in an engaging and visually appealing way, along with a list of attendees—perfect for occasions like birthday parties, weddings, reunions, and company events.
The app is expected to leverage Apple’s newer internal framework, GroupKit, to manage groups of invitees.
Additionally, there could be a mini app for iMessage, allowing users to easily access Invites through the messaging platform.
Though Apple has not officially confirmed or announced the release of this app, the findings suggest that the company is exploring new ways to enhance event management on iOS, and it could be arriving soon.
