The self-proclaimed defenders of Baloch rights have once again exposed their duplicity, targeting their own communities under the guise of seeking justice.
The destruction of NADRA centers, remittance channels, and biometric passport facilities in Zohri Tehsil has deprived the local population of essential services, leaving them more vulnerable than ever.
In a recent attack, militants wreaked havoc for hours, looting businesses, creating chaos, and attempting to subdue residents at gunpoint. Their actions starkly contradicted their claims of protecting Baloch rights, instead leaving a trail of devastation in their own backyard.
Basic Facilities Destroyed
The targeted destruction of NADRA centers and remittance services has disrupted access to critical documentation and financial aid. The looting of a local bank has further deprived the public of financial security, adding to the hardships of an already struggling community. Residents reported instances of aerial firing and announcements made via mosque loudspeakers to spread fear, forcing them into submission.
Even national welfare initiatives like the Benazir Income Support Program and EasyPaisa were rendered ineffective, as militants actively worked to isolate the Baloch community and halt its progress. These actions have eroded residents' sense of safety and dignity, leaving them feeling insecure in their own homes.
The militants, particularly the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), have consistently ignored the needs and sentiments of the local populace. Instead, they focus on external propaganda and seek foreign support. Their actions reveal a disregard for the very people they claim to represent, as they prioritize their destructive agenda over genuine community welfare.
Cowardly Tactics Exposed
The BLA’s attack on Zohri's residents was another display of cowardice. Militants fled before security forces arrived, highlighting their reluctance to face armed resistance. While targeting unarmed civilians, they also assaulted local youths serving in the Levies force, looted businesses, and destroyed livelihoods.
The announcement of their arrival through mosque loudspeakers and the destruction of NADRA and public offices were mere ploys to cover their looting and sabotage, which they portray as a "fight for rights." In reality, these attacks aim to supply anti-Pakistan social media campaigns with material for propaganda, further exposing the militants' true motives.
The lack of communication infrastructure in remote areas allows militants to exploit the time gap between reporting incidents and law enforcement response. This enables them to execute their plans with little resistance. The attack in Zohri, a region known for its patriotic citizens who actively participate in elections, has deeply shaken the community.
The targeting of Levies personnel, destruction of businesses, and looting of banks underscore the militants’ disregard for local needs. Their actions have exposed their ulterior motives, serving foreign agendas rather than addressing the concerns of their own people.
Links to Foreign Propaganda
Each such attack is quickly followed by coordinated propaganda on Indian social media platforms, exposing the militants' international connections and hidden agendas. The hardships inflicted on the local population by these militant groups make a mockery of the very notion of a struggle for rights.
Security analysts emphasize that this cycle of violence and deceit must end for justice and accountability to prevail. The Baloch community continues to suffer at the hands of so-called nationalists whose actions serve to isolate and impoverish them further.
