The Punjab government has announced a significant increase in driving license fees across the province, including Lahore and Rawalpindi.
The new fee structure, which comes after 20 years, has seen sharp hikes for both motorcycle and car licenses.
New Fees for motorcycles and cars
Motorcycle owners will now pay an annual fee of Rs930, along with a Rs50 test fee, marking a massive 791% increase from the previous Rs60 fee for a 5-year license.
Car and jeep drivers will face an annual fee of Rs1,830, plus a Rs150 test fee. This is a considerable rise from the previous Rs950 for a 5-year license.
The revised fees are effective from January 1, 2025.
