Security forces killed 19 terrorists in a series of intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while three soldiers embraced martyrdom during fierce exchanges of fire, the military’s media wing reported on Tuesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted in Peshawar, Mohmand, and Karak districts as part of efforts to dismantle Fitna-ul-Khawarij—a term used by the army for militants undermining national security.
In the first operation, eight terrorists were eliminated in the Matni area of Peshawar district following precise intelligence inputs, the ISPR said.

The second operation was carried out in the Baizai area of Mohmand district, where another eight militants were neutralized after an exchange of fire. The third operation in Karak district saw security forces killing three terrorists, further weakening their network.
During the clashes, three soldiers laid down their lives in the line of duty. The martyred include:
- Lance Havaldar Abbas Ali
- Naik Muhammad Nazir
- Naik Muhammad Usman
“These brave soldiers sacrificed their lives to protect the nation and reaffirm our resolve to root out terrorism,” the ISPR stated.
Following the operations, clearance activities were launched in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining threats. “Pakistan's security forces remain determined to eradicate the scourge of terrorism from the country, and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers only strengthen this resolve,” the military’s statement added.
