A high-profile inquiry committee has been established to investigate the tragic deaths of three brothers in police custody at Faisalabad’s Thana Saddar Tandlianwala lockup. Strict action will be taken against the police personnel found negligent in this incident.
According to a spokesperson for Punjab Police, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has appointed DIG Intelligence Special Branch, Faisal Ali Raja, as the head of the inquiry committee. The committee also includes AIG Operations Punjab, Zahid Nawaz Marwat, and AIG Complaints, Ehsanullah Chauhan.
The committee has been tasked with visiting the crime scene to gather facts and identify negligent police officers. A detailed report will be submitted to the IGP Punjab.
IGP Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, emphasized that strict action will be taken if any police personnel are found complicit in the incident.
