Following the enforcement of Section 144 in District Kurram, authorities have started clearing roads and making announcements urging people to vacate.
The government has made arrangements to transport the convoy, previously stopped in Tall, to Parachinar today.
The sit-in outside Parachinar Press Club has been postponed. "If our demands are not met, we will resume the protest," stated Allama Fida Mazaheri.
The decision to postpone the sit-in was made in the interest of national unity, said Agha Mazamil Hussain, Chairman of Upper Kurram Tehsil. "The sit-in was initiated to open the roads and advocate for our demands," he added.
Meanwhile, protests in Lower Kurram's Bagan continue as locals gather to press for their demands. Announcements have been made urging residents to join the demonstrations.
Police confirmed that during a previous clash in Lower Kurram, two attackers were injured in retaliatory fire by the guards after firing at the Deputy Commissioner.
