Early morning tremors were felt in Sibi and nearby areas. According to the Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale and was 18 kilometers beneath the surface.
The epicenter was located 22 kilometers from Sibi. The tremors were recorded at 5:20 AM. Fortunately, no damage or casualties have been reported so far.
