WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that makes document sharing easier than ever before.
Users can now scan documents directly within the app using their phone’s camera, simplifying the process for personal, educational, or professional use.
First introduced in the WhatsApp for iOS 24.25.80 update, the document scanning feature is integrated into the document-sharing menu.
Users can capture a document, adjust its edges for proper framing, and preview the scan before sending it to a chat or group. This eliminates the need for a traditional scanner, allowing documents to be shared instantly on the go.
The feature is currently available to some iOS users with the latest WhatsApp version and will be gradually rolled out to all users in the coming weeks.
Along with this, WhatsApp is also working on a new tool to highlight important channel updates by starring them, making it easier for users to find key information.
