Another Pakistan Rangers Punjab official, Lance Naik Muhammad Tanveer, succumbed to injuries sustained during violent protests on November 25 and 26.
The 37-year-old, a resident of Narowal district, had been in a coma following serious injuries caused by the unrest.
Lance Naik Tanveer, who served the nation for 17 years, is survived by his wife, two sons, and three daughters. His martyrdom brings the total number of Rangers personnel killed in the protests to four, alongside two Punjab Police officials.
The violent demonstrations, reportedly led by PTI workers under the guise of protests, resulted in significant loss of life and property. Government assets were attacked and set ablaze in multiple locations, causing irreparable damage.
In addition to the fatalities, approximately 119 Punjab Police personnel and 11 Islamabad Police officers sustained injuries, many of them serious. Numerous videos have surfaced, showcasing the extent of vandalism and destruction during the protests.
Authorities have vowed strict legal action against those involved in the violence. Law enforcement agencies are actively working to identify and apprehend the perpetrators to ensure accountability.
