The anti-polio campaign in Balochistan, initially scheduled to begin on December 16, has been delayed once again due to the boycott by the Grand Health Alliance. According to the Polio Emergency Center, the campaign will now commence on December 18.
Over 2.6 million children are set to receive polio vaccinations during the campaign, with more than 11,000 teams participating in the province-wide effort.
This is the second postponement of the campaign, raising concerns about the timely protection of children against the virus. Authorities urge stakeholders to resolve the impasse to ensure the campaign runs smoothly.
