The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that national team interim white-ball coach Aaqib Javed has been appointed as the red-ball coach.
According to details, the board had made it clear that Jason Gillespie had resigned as the national team’s red-ball coach.
Javed will take up the responsibility as the red-ball coach during the forthcoming Test series against South Africa.

According to details, Gillespie had refused to travel to South Africa citing personal reasons. Gillespie was not pleased with the removal of assistant coach Tim Nelson.
Pakistan will take on South Africa in the red-ball series from December 26, during which Shan Masood will spearhead the Green Shirts.
On the other side, Pakistan will look to rebound themselves against South Africa in the second T20I on Friday after the visitors got drubbed at the hands of the Proteas.
