The Army Wrestling Team emerged victorious at the 67th National Wrestling Championship, held at Jinnah Stadium in Gujranwala from December 6 to 8, 2024.
Competing against strong teams such as WAPDA, Railways, and regional teams from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KP, Islamabad, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the Army team dominated the event, securing first place with 193 points.
The championship saw a high level of competition, with Army wrestlers claiming 4 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals. The event, organized by the Pakistan Wrestling Federation, was a showcase of excellent wrestling standards and passionate performances from all participants. Teams from police, HEC, and other organizations also took part in the exciting contests.
The Army's success at this prestigious event further highlights the strength and skill of Pakistan's wrestlers, as well as the growing importance of the sport in the country.
