Former Pakistan chief selector Azhar Khan said on Wednesday that Saim Ayub is an ideal player for the country to open in the T20I format.
Expressing his thoughts on the Samaa TV programme “Zor Ka Jor,” Khan said, “Saim Ayub knows how to express himself with the bat, especially in the powerplay.
"He [Saim Ayub] knows to negotiate with the short of the length. Saim Ayub also plays well through the off side,” said Khan.

He made it clear that there was a lack of clarity in terms of making the decision of selecting the players for the national team.
“You nullify your own decisions. You need to be very precise and clear with your mind and should identify your top four batters.”
