Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has resumed its humanitarian assistance supplies to Gaza.
President of the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Professor Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman, shared details about a new consignment of relief goods dispatched to Gaza from Jordan, facilitated by the Jordan Royal Medical Services and the Pakistani Embassy in Jordan.
The shipment includes essential medicines and food items.
Dr Hafeez ur Rehman stated that the Alkhidmat Foundation has so far sent a total of 20 consignments to Gaza.
These include 15 by air, three via sea routes, and two by road. The consignments have contained food packages, flour, rice, water, medicines, hygiene kits, delivery kits, baby kits, tents, jerrycans, winter packages, family packages, blankets, and mattresses.
In addition to providing emergency relief, Alkhidmat has also supported Palestinian students with educational assistance in Egypt and Pakistan, arranging for their enrollment in various universities in Pakistan.
Dr. Rehman revealed that these relief efforts have cost approximately PKR 4.5 billion so far. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Pakistani people, stating, "The people of Pakistan will not leave their Palestinian brothers and sisters alone and will continue to support them in every possible way."
The supply chain to Gaza had faced temporary disruptions due to intensified Israeli attacks. However, Alkhidmat's team, through continuous efforts and collaboration with partners, has successfully overcome these obstacles. The aid shipments to Gaza have now resumed, ensuring vital assistance continues to reach those in need.
