Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has expressed displeasure over the foreign visits of federal ministers and senior government officials.
PM Kakar barred the ministers from undertaking foreign visits unnecessarily.
The caretaker prime minister directed that only the most unavoidable foreign visits should be undertaken, adding that only those visits should be preferred where the sponsor is the relevant country or institution.
The Cabinet Division has explained that a proper permission should be sought from the relevant authority before departing on a foreign visit. The aims and objectives of each visit would also have to be explained, it added.
The caretaker prime minister was presented a report of foreign visits of some ministers and senior government officials.
Due to the visits, the functioning of the federal ministries and the Pakistan Secretariat was being affected, the report stated.
Several senior officials went abroad on official tours to meet their children, it added.
