Govt has launched anti-smuggling crackdown. Over the past week, enforcement agencies across the country have seized substantial quantities of goods, including 6,826 cigarette stockpiles, 869 fabric rolls, and 0.26 million liters of Iranian oil.
Since September 1, 2023, authorities have confiscated 13,471.5 metric tons of fertilizer, 3,789.64 metric tons of flour, and 35,134.51 metric tons of sugar. Additionally, 4,396,666 cigarette stockpiles, 157,055 fabric rolls, and 18.312 million liters of Iranian oil were recovered.
The government's anti-smuggling operations aim to address economic challenges by curbing illegal trade activities. Officials have emphasized their commitment to sustaining these efforts to prevent revenue loss and ensure market stability.
