Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi said on Saturday that any new formula will not only work for the forthcoming Champions Trophy but also for the future events.
Expressing his thoughts to the media on his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Naqvi said, “The decision will be taken on the basis of equality [between Pakistan and India]. If there will be any new formula in plan, it must not only implemented on the Champions Trophy but also in the future tournaments.”
He made it clear that uplifting cricket is the board's topmost priority.
“Pakistan comes up first. There is no chance of the acceptance of one-sided affairs. We will have to address the stalemate forever,” Naqvi added.
“Now the talks will be held on the long terms, not merely for the Champions Trophy,” said Naqvi.
