In the aftermath of the deadly attack on Chinese nationals at Karachi Airport, the Sindh Home Department has issued a notification to form an eight-member Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
The team, led by the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), will probe the arrested suspects, Javed and Gul Nisa, in connection with the attack.
The attack, which occurred at the airport, resulted in the tragic deaths of two Chinese nationals and left others injured in a blast. The suspects were arrested from areas in Sindh and Balochistan. The newly formed JIT, which includes officers from the Rangers, Special Branch, Karachi Police, and FIA, will investigate the suspects within 15 days and submit their findings to the Home Department.
The investigation into the attack is critical to uncovering the motives and any broader conspiracy behind the targeting of foreign nationals in Pakistan.
