The entry and exit routes of Lahore were sealed once again on Tuesday as tensions in Islamabad intensified due to ongoing protests by the PTI.
Authorities have increased blockades in various parts of the city, causing widespread disruption and leaving citizens distressed.
Key routes, including Azadi Flyover, Ravi Bridge, Imamia Colony Flyover, Ferozepur Road towards Kasur, Multan Road, and the Ring Road, have been completely sealed. All motorways leading out of Lahore have remained closed for the third consecutive day.
Hundreds of students were stranded while attempting to travel to hostels, particularly those heading to the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Kala Shah Kaku Campus. Commuters have reported increased traffic congestion across the city due to the blockades.

Babu Sabu, Shahdara, Batti Chowk, and other entry and exit routes were partially restored after being closed for two days. However, police officials said the routes were closed again as tensions increased in Islamabad.
Lahore witnessed partial relief in traffic congestion on Monday as some key roads and highways were reopened after days of closures.
According to the Lahore Traffic Police, GT Road, Ring Road, Niazi Chowk and several adjoining highways were partially opened to facilitate traffic flow. Officials confirmed that containers blocking the road from Shahdara were removed, allowing one-way traffic.
Batti Chowk and Azadi Flyover were also reopened for one-way travel. Additionally, the Ring Road, which had been closed for the past two days, was partially restored for commuters. The road leading to Imamia Colony railway crossing was opened as well. However, authorities clarified that these roads would remain partially open until further notice.
