Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his stalwarts discussed on Sunday the situation over the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest in Islamabad.
According to details, the premier chaired a consultative meeting in the Model Town area of Lahore. On this occasion, prominent among those who attended the meeting were National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmed Khan.
The premier underlined the current political situation. He acknowledged the country’s progress, saying, “The country is on the verge of prosperity. We are making all-out efforts to steer the country towards prosperity.”
Moreover, PM Shehbaz had instructed the leadership to address the reservations of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
– PM Shehbaz constitutes committee to resolve PPP’s concerns –
Earlier on Friday, PM Shehbaz constituted a committee to resolve the concerns of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
According to details, the purpose of forming a committee is to take the PPP on board. The committee will address the PPP’s concerns and look to extend bilateral cooperation to the party.

Prominent among those included in the committee were Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Ahad Cheema.
Amir Muqam, Rana Sanaullah, Malik Ahmed Khan, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Jaffar Mandokhail, and Bashir Ahmed Memon will also be part of the committee.
The committee will formulate the strategy by holding talks with the PPP leadership.
Meanwhile, the premier had instructed the committee to hold detailed discussions with the PPP.
