Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has alleged that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is operating as the political wing of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) by raising slogans of "Al-Jihad Al-Jihad" against the state.
In a strongly worded statement, Bukhari claimed that PTI has established a so-called "jihadi squad," reportedly armed with weapons, slingshots, glass, and rubber bullets. She accused the party of arming this squad to further destabilize the country.
“The Fitnah Party [PTI] is equipping this jihadi squad to sow chaos,” said Bukhari, adding that the mastermind of the May 9 incidents is manipulating the provincial chief minister as a pawn against the federal government.
