Pakistani security forces, under the leadership of Major Muhammad Haseeb, carried out an intelligence-based operation in Harnai District, Balochistan, targeting terrorists planning to attack innocent civilians.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation successfully resulted in the elimination of three terrorists, a significant blow to those seeking to disrupt the peace and security of the region.
However, during the operation, an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded on the leading vehicle, resulting in the martyrdom of Major Muhammad Haseeb, aged 28, from District Multan, and Havildar Noor Ahmed, aged 38, from District Barkhan.
Both soldiers fought valiantly and were leading their troops from the front. Their sacrifices highlight the extraordinary commitment and bravery of Pakistan's armed forces in combating terrorism.
The attack was a targeted attempt to thwart the security forces’ efforts to stabilize Balochistan, but the professional response of the troops foiled the terrorists’ plans.
The operation was conducted swiftly, with security forces neutralizing the threat and ensuring that the terrorists could not carry out their intended attack on civilians.
Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their courage and determination.
He also expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers, Major Muhammad Haseeb and Havildar Noor Ahmed, commending their bravery and leadership in the face of danger.
“The sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve to eliminate terrorism from our soil and safeguard the peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan,” the interior minister stated.
Pakistan's security forces remain steadfast in their mission to defend the nation and ensure the safety of its people.
