Several sections of Punjab's motorway network were shut down today due to heavy smog and fog, creating significant disruptions for travelers.
The dense fog and worsening air quality led to the closure of multiple motorway sections. Motorway M5, from Multan to Sukkur, was closed near Shershah, while the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway was shut down due to low visibility caused by smog.
Motorway M2 was closed from Kolhaur to Kot Momin, and Motorway M3 was closed from Lahore to Darkhana. Motorway Police have advised all drivers to use fog lights for added safety during the ongoing weather conditions.
Travelers are urged to exercise caution and check motorway status updates before setting out.
