The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday launched an attack on the incumbent government, asserting that the legislation had been done to control the judiciary.
Expressing his thoughts, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said, “The PTI founder will be released according to the country’s laws. We are not eying help from anybody else in this regard.”
“The government has given itself the NRO. But the NRO is not going to help the incumbent government,” he said.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said: “We will not take rest until the release of our leader.”
– PTI accuses govt of running ‘banana republic –
Few days back, PTI senior leader Asad Qaiser accused the incumbent government of running a “banana republic”.
In a video statement, the former National Assembly speaker said, “Is this possible to live under the rule of jungle?" The masses are facing hardships to eat bread twice a day.”
He took a swipe at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, saying, “Is this the democracy on which both Nawaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari claim to believe? These two [Nawaz and Bilawal] have harmed the country.”
“The country is unfortunately leading towards anarchy,” averred Qaiser.
He maintained: “It is the masses of the country who are having a real power.”
