Pakistan Army successfully neutralised six militants attempting to infiltrate the country from the Pak-Afghan border near the Zhob district of Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
A statement from the ISPR revealed that security forces had received intelligence regarding the movement of a group of militants, identified as Khwarij, in the Sambaza area of Zhob district. The army promptly intercepted the group and thwarted their attempt to cross the border.
The operation resulted in the elimination of six militants, and a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the scene.
The ISPR reiterated Pakistan’s consistent request to the Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management. “Pakistan hopes the Interim Afghan Government will fulfil its obligations and prevent the use of Afghan soil by Khwarij to carry out acts of terrorism against Pakistan,” the statement added.
The Pakistan Army reaffirmed its commitment to securing national borders and eradicating terrorism from the country.
