Voting is officially kicked off in the United States as polling stations open across key eastern states.
The U.S. media reports indicate that polling booths have opened in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and New Hampshire, with additional polling locations starting in Kentucky, Indiana, and Connecticut.
In Dixville, New Hampshire, a small town known for its tradition of casting ballots just after midnight, voters continued their Election Day custom by marking some of the nation’s first votes. The opening of polls in these states signals the start of what is expected to be a pivotal day, with millions of Americans casting their ballots in person following record early voting turnout.
As voting progresses, Americans are encouraged to check local polling hours and arrive prepared to participate in this critical election.

Harris plans to attend an Election Night party at Howard University in Washington, a historically Black university where she graduated with a degree in economics and political science in 1986 and was an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
