Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Friday that Qatar was ready to invest $3billion in Pakistan.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Tarar declared Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar as “greatly successful." “The premier’s meetings with the Saudi leadership had turned out to be quite beneficial,” he said.
“Pakistan’s economy is on the verge of stability rapidly. The investors are also showing keen interest in investing in the country. The Saudi investment had also reached $2.8 billion.”
Tarar recalled the premier’s meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, saying, “The prime minister’s meeting with the Saudi crown prince was held in a boisterous way.”
He said: “The development on the signings of the MoUs with Saudi Arabia in connection with the investment is underway.”
Tarar took a jibe at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, saying, “Ali Amin Gandapur is a non serious chief minister. He [Ganadapur] has not been able to handle the matters of KP in an appropriate way.”
“He has failed clearly to provide protection to the people,“ he stated.
Tarar deplored the terrorism incidents, saying, “The incidents of terrorism will be not a good omen in terms of leading the country towards prosperity.”
He resolved that the incumbent government will leave no stone unturned in ending the menace of terrorism in the country.
