Renowned Indian sports journalist Vikrant Gupta stated that the next 12 to 13 months might bring big transition in the Indian cricket team.
Expressing his thoughts following India’s shortcomings against New Zealand in the home shores, Gupta acknowledged India’s streak of winning 18 consecutive series for 12 years.
He added, “This is not the first time that India has been trapped. India have been trapped in the past as well.”
“But I mean, when you will not score runs with the bat, then the results will not come in your favour,” said Gupta.
Earlier few days back, former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra had also hailed New Zealand’s performance against India as monumental.
He credited the Black Caps for clinching a victory without the presence of their regular captain, Kane Williamson and dampened confidence after losing to Sri Lanka.
