Despite a strained relationship with the Royal Family, hopes persist that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might one day return to the UK.
The couple, who stepped back from royal duties four years ago to settle in California, have faced challenges in their relationship with the royals, particularly in light of King Charles and Kate Middleton's recent health diagnoses.
If reconciliation were to occur, property expert Jack Malnick has shared insights on what options might be available for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the UK. Currently, Harry is known to stay in hotels during his visits, such as his recent trip to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Invictus Games, following the couple’s departure from their former residence, Frogmore Cottage.
Malnick explained that if the Sussexes were to consider a permanent base in the UK, proximity to London would likely be a priority. This would facilitate Harry's attendance at official events, including the Invictus Games and family gatherings, particularly with relatives like King Charles and cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
However, Malnick indicated that a move to Windsor—home to Prince William and Princess Kate—seems unlikely due to the ongoing rift between the brothers. Instead, Harry may opt for locations that allow him to maintain a degree of separation from royal pressures while still being easily commutable to the capital.
Privacy and security remain paramount for Harry and Meghan. Malnick emphasized the need for a property that offers a secluded environment, ideally featuring gated access and ample outdoor space. A home with four to five bedrooms would be necessary to accommodate their young children, potential staff, and visiting family members.
