Privatisation Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Monday emphasised the need for effective marketing for the institutions undergoing privatisation.
According to details, Aleem Khan had chaired a meeting of the Privatisation Commission Board, during which the progress on the privatisation of various institutions was reviewed, including the deliberations on the Agricultural Development Bank (ADP).
Aleem Khan said: "It is crucial to ensure a competitive environment and achieve the goal of successful privatisation."
A key decision made during the meeting was the formation of a negotiations committee to oversee the privatisation process. The discussions also revolved around the appointment of financial advisors and several other related matters.
– CPEC’s role in economic growth –
Federal Minister of Investment Board, Communications and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan said that both countries China and Pakistan will benefit from the CPEC and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
He said Pakistan has been facing the challenge of increasing its urban population. The minister was addressing at Global Transport Forum 2024 held in China.
CPEC trade corridors are based on green energy and clean technology,” he added.
Abdul Aleem Khan also emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships and green technology in communication.
He said to improve the means of transportation, the safety of the citizens has to be taken into consideration.
Addressing the Global Transport Forum 2024 in China, the federal minister said Pakistan's priority was to connect highways and ports according to future needs leading towards economic improvement and creating employment opportunities.
The minister said that improvement in communication system not only promotes economy but also culture and society.
He said that he is a supporter of public-private partnership and green technology in the field of communication.
President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari also gave a virtual address at the Global Transport Forum.
